Fuego is a New Man

Wednesday, February 20, 2008 (Laredo, TX):

After a very busy and exciting 2007 season, everyone at the Laredo Heat Soccer Club needed a break. It was back home and off to school for some of the players and the staff at Laredo Heat SC had a bit of a breather.

A very special member of the Laredo Heat Soccer Club that really had it tough last season was Fuego, and how could he not with hosting the PDL Conference Playoffs, the PDL Semi-Finals and PDL Finals. Fuego was at every game cheering and dancing and motivating the players every step of the way. Once the season was over and the in the spirit of having won the USL PDL Championship, Fuego asked for a vacation in order to be prepared for the upcoming 2008 season.

After being MIA for a period of about four months, Fuego finally came back a new man, more ready than ever and with a new look. He decided that in honor of the Laredo Heat Soccer Club’s championship title in 2007 he would get a make-over. Much needed he explained to us, “I wanted more room to move around and this year I will be dancing around celebrating every single goal non stop. I will even be out there scoring goals myself”.

So as the Laredo Heat Soccer Club players are getting into shape and the staff is preparing for the 2008 season, Fuego is in shape and ready for what he expects to be a very exciting and high paced season.

Fuego is very excited and can’t wait to show off his new look to all of his fans so he will make his big debut on February 21st at the IBC Youth Under the Stars Parade and then again the Anheuser-Busch Washington Birthday Parade on Saturday, February 23rd.

He wants everyone to remember that he loves to attend all types of community events such as school pep-rallies, drug rallies, grand openings and anything he gets invited to.
