Heat U-14’s are 1-0-1 After Two Matches in South Carolina

Playing Big Game on Saturday to Try to Advance to Championship Match

 

Greenville, SC (Friday, July 11, 2014): The Laredo Heat 00 Boys Red (Under 14’s) opened up play on Thursday, July 10th at the 2014 National Presidents Cup Tournament in Greensville, SC with a 2 – 1 victory over United States Youth Soccer Region IV Representative Oxnard (CA) Wave Soccer Club. Both Heat U-14 goals were scored by Alberto Martinez.

 The Laredo Heat 00 Boys Red (1 – 0 – 1) are representing the Laredo Area Youth Soccer Association, the South Texas Youth Soccer Association and the United States Youth Soccer Region III at the Under 14 Boys Division in South Carolina.

 Today, the Heat U-14’s gave up three goals in the second half after taking a 3 – 0 lead on the Region II Representatives Team Evanston (IL) Premier and had to settle for a 3 – 3 tie.

 The U-14 goals today were scored by Alberto Martinez, Nicolas Paez and Eduardo Vasquez.

 With today’s result, the Heat 00 Boys Red will now be playing in huge youth soccer match tomorrow Saturday, July 12th at 8AM versus Montgomery (PA) Arsenal, Region I Representatives.

 The 2014 National Presidents Cup Tournament is a Round Robin Point Accumulation tournament with the top two teams facing each other on Sunday for the championship and the third and fourth place teams facing each other in a consolation match

  The Laredo Heat Youth Soccer Club and Academy is a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Corporation that operates in Laredo and Webb County, Texas for the sole purpose of training the youth in the area in the sport of soccer. The mission of the club is to get youngsters to learn to play soccer, get advanced players into competitive tournaments and teach these youngsters the rules of the game and the importance of proper training, exercise and doing well in school.
